Explore Austin

Most Austin hotels sit downtown along Congress Avenue and near the convention center, with boutique options in South Congress and East Austin. Whether you're in town for SXSW, Austin City Limits, the Formula 1 race, or a Texas Longhorns game, you'll be about 20 minutes from Austin-Bergstrom International (AUS).

Downtown's Sixth Street and Rainey Street put dozens of live music venues and bars within a few blocks, and the Texas State Capitol caps Congress Avenue to the north. From March to October, crowds gather at dusk on the Congress Avenue Bridge to watch more than a million bats take flight.

Lady Bird Lake runs through the heart of the city, with a 10-mile hike-and-bike trail and kayak rentals. Just south, Zilker Park hosts ACL Fest and Barton Springs Pool, a spring-fed swimming hole that stays around 68°F year-round.
